Astro’s Designer Nathan Kyle
In this project, the traditional kitchen was designed with the intent of hosting large family gatherings, upwards of twenty people at a time. Locating the kitchen adjacent to the informal eating area, the family room and the patio, was the ideal choice for entertaining. The implementation of a large double island, in an unexpected “L” shape, allowed for a ton of extra space without consequently feeling like an industrial environment.
For the main floor master ensuite design, a feeling of tranquility is invoked through the use of symmetry. The marble mosaic floor, the crystal chandelier and the raw silk drapes evoke luxury, while the cascading waterfall plumbing fixtures and large rain head parallel amenities normally found in professional health clubs. All these features come together harmoniously, to create this luxurious spa inspired oasis.
For the powder room design, the client wanted a unique and modern space that felt like a theatrical experience for their guests. The toilet is hidden away, behind a wall, to let the showpiece vanity take center stage.
